Sheikh Sultan Bin Ahmed Bin Sultan Al Qasimi inspected the final stages of the "Shams" City business centre.

The Sharjah Media Council (SMC) reaffirmed its commitment to developing the Emirate of Sharjah's media system, transmitting the Emirate's civilised and cultural projects, and providing media content that contributes to social cohesion and cultural awareness in accordance with the directives and vision of His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, while Sheikh Sultan Bin Ahmed Al Qasimi presided over the Sharjah Media Council's meeting with its new framework on Wednesday morning in Sharjah Media City “Shams”.

The Sharjah Media Council offered its heartfelt greetings and blessings to His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, on the occasion of the Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF) topping the list of international book fairs in terms of copyright sales and purchases. The fair attracted a large number of local and international publishing houses, totalling 1,632 publishers from 83 countries, apart from presenting a variety of cultural, scientific, and literary activities and seminars for all segments of society.

The Council commended the fortieth session of the Sharjah International Book Fair for its distinguished level, which demonstrates the emirate's continued excellence in organising various cultural, social, media, economic, and other events upon the directives of His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and with the support of Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah.

The Council considered several critical issues relevant to the media sector in the Emirate of Sharjah and adopted a number of resolutions to support the media system's functioning and continued pioneering in the media area.

On the sidelines of the Sharjah Media Council meeting, Sheikh Sultan Bin Ahmed Bin Sultan Al Qasimi inspected the final stages of the "Shams" City business centre, which will provide small and medium-sized business owners with a distinguished business environment that includes offices, meeting rooms, and entertainment and others.
