The Department of Education and Knowledge in Abu Dhabi sent a timetable for PCR test to private schools and charter schools in various regions of Abu Dhabi to ensure that students, teachers and school staff benefit from free examinations in a timely manner.

Parents can contact their children's schools to obtain the code, location details, time and date according to the schedule approved by the department.

Alternatively, students aged 12 years and over and school staff can take the examination at any center of their choice at their own expense.

As for students under 12 years of age and students of determination, they can obtain a free examination before returning to school in any of the private or public centers in various regions of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, knowing that both groups can choose to obtain a Covid-19 examination through saliva analysis.

Since the start date of the school year for students varies according to the school reopening model approved in their school, whether alternating days or weeks, all students must ensure that they submit a negative examination result with a validity of not more than 14 days to be able to return to the classroom education model.

Students must ensure that the test result is valid for no more than 14 days throughout the first month of their return to school.

The Department of Education also confirmed that it is working closely with the concerned authorities in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi to approve the periodic examination program and determine the requirements for repeat examinations for students and school staff, which will be announced at a later time.
