VIDEO: Car hurtles through the air off California overpass, crashes into highway in dramatic dashcam video

In a freak incident, a car went hurtling through the air off an overpass in California, smashed into a highway, flipped over several times before coming to a halt upside down.
Miraculously, the driver survived.
A trail of smoke followed the car’s divergent path.
Dramatic dashcam footage captured the horrifying scene, and the screams of passengers in the vehicle who could be heard calling the emergency hotline 911.
“It jumped the whole road,” a man explained to police. He then ran towards the smouldering wreck.
The man who shared the video on YouTube said about the driver who survived the incident unscathed, “I was quite shocked and perplexed how someone escaped such an impact,” he commented.
A YouTube user with the name, ‘R’ wrote, “That’s why you wear a seatbelt!”
