The Federal Public Prosecution affirmed that the Federal Decree-Law No. 5 for 2012 specified the penalty for disrupting access to an information network or a website.

It explained on its official account on Twitter that according to article 8 of the decree, anyone who obstructs or disrupts access to an information network, a website or an electronic information system will be imprisoned and fined no less than Dhs100,000 and no more than Dhs300,000 or any of these two penalties.
