The Dubai Public Prosecution referred a GCC and an Arab , one of them is at large, to the Criminal Court, on charges of facilitating drug abuse for an Asian who is referred to a misdemeanour court.

Details date back to July 2020, when a team of the Anti- Narcotic Department moved to the scene of a tip-off stating that an Arab cook fainted in the reception hall of a hotel in Dubai.

The report added that the cook was suspected of drug abuse, and that he was a hotel guest accompanied by a GCC and an Asian.

A policeman stated in the case papers that tests showed that the cook abused narcotics and that he and the other suspects were using the hotel room as a drug abuse den.

Upon searching the room, the team found several grammes of narcotics and psychotropic substances, tools and needles contaminated with the blood. The first suspect confessed that the second fugitive suspect was the one who provided them with drugs for free.

ARAB RESIDENTS HELD FOR OFFENDING ASIAN:  The Public Prosecution ordered the arrest and provisional detention of four Arab nationals accused of offending an Asian resident.
