Indian father, daughter drown in Sharjah

A father and his daughter drowned to death in the waters of Sharjah on Wednesday.

The Indian expats went for a swim near the Corniche beach.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the daughter was drowning.

To rescue her, the father jumped into the water and drowned too.

Family members alerted the police about the incident. A rescue team rushed to the site. 

But it was too late.

Rescuers pulled out the bodies after they resurfaced.

The bodies were transferred to the hospital for legal procedures.

The Sharjah Police urge all community members to adhere to the instructions when going to the beach, follow regulations and preventive measures, swim in areas designated for it, and abide by the instructions of inspectors and rescuers.
