Two Arabs, working for a bank, face court for embezzlement

The Dubai Public Prosecution referred to the criminal court, two Arab suspects working for a bank, for taking advantage of their job and seizing the money of the bank.

 

Counselor Salem Ahmed Bin Khadim, First Chief Prosecutor at the Public Funds Prosecution in Dubai, said the first suspect, who was an official at the Dubai Airport branch of the bank received money from departing travellers for the benefit of the bank and seized Dhs41,164,000 and left the country without handing them over to the bank.

 

Counselor Bin Khadim added, “As for the second, who works as a collector in the payments department at the same bank at the Dubai International Airport branch, received cash fines from departing travellers and seized Dhs28,220.

 

The Public Prosecution referred the suspects to the Criminal Court to take legal measures against them.
