Fire erupts in Abu Dhabi restaurant

Firefighters tend to a fire in Abu Dhabi.

Abu Dhabi Civil Defence teams successfully put out a massive fire in a restaurant near Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Road on Sunday evening.

The fire resulted in no casualties.

Civil defence teams of the Abu Dhabi Police’s Emergency and Public Safety Department immediately rushed to the scene after receiving a call reporting about the incident.

The building was safely evacuated and the fire was put out before it could reach the rest of the apartments.

A forensic team will investigate the cause of the fire.

Authorities have urged business owner and residents to conduct necessary checks to ensure all electrical systems are working properly.

It is also advised not to store any inflammable items house.

On Satyrday, the Civil Defence teams in Abu Dhabi put out a fire that broke out in a 12-storey residential building in Al Mamoura area in Abu Dhabi.

The teams evacuated people from the tower. Some residents reported of suffocation. They were transferred to the hospital for treatment.

The team members prevented the fire from spreading to the residential apartments.

The residents from the adjacent buildings were safely evacuated.
