His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, visited the Fish Farm in Jebel Ali Freezone, Dubai on Monday.

The Ruler of Dubai inspected the facility and its adjoining areas.

He was briefed about the latest developments and measures they have taken to stem the spread of coronavirus.

Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, shared a series of videos on his instagram account.

A video shows a worker feeding fish. Another one shows Sheikh Mohammed is being briefed about a fish tank, and the species in it.

The Fish Farm in UAE is the only fish farming facility in the UAE producing quality, fresh, local, and organic: Atlantic Salmon, Sea Bass, Sea Bream, Hammour and Hamachi.

The farm is geographically poised to be one of the world leaders in the fisheries sector. Recognising the growing market demand for sustainable aquaculture-produced marine fish, the farm grows and sells high quality, competitively priced, safe and delicious fish using innovative technology, while preserving the environment.

The farm’s marketing system transports fish to consumers in every region, both domestic and international.

Headquartered in Dubai, the farm has set up three facilities — a caged farming facility in Dibba, a hatchery in Umm Al-Quwain and an inland farming facility in Jebel Ali.

In 2017, the farm produced a capacity of 2 million kg, and has plans to continue the farming journey.
