The Dubai Criminal Court on Wednesday looked into the case of a 24-year-old Asian security guard charged with conniving with a friend to steal Dhs48,000 and 2 cheques, from an office in the building he was guarding after he disrupted the surveillance cameras to facilitate the theft that the friend committed.

According to the case papers, the guard met the second suspect some time ago, and agreed to steal the contents of a safe in an office in the same building he guarded.

The two suspects reportedly agreed that the guard would disable the surveillance cameras while the friend entered the office in the building.

The second suspect entered the office, took the safe to the office of the security guard and opened it. They took Dhs48,000 and two cheques.
