A lot of motorists here blare horns on a lark, which can be an auditory torture. This is a regular occurrence, particularly when there are huge tailbacks, making motorists who do not possess an iota of patience blow their sirens continuously. What the exasperating drivers do not realise is that the cacophony pummels the ears of passersby and residents in the areas of the traffic jams no end.

But what if a famous Bollywood number emanates from the horn? Then it becomes music to the ears, as happened in Bhopal, India.

A video is doing the rounds on social media which shows a crowd in the north Indian city asking one truck driver to blow his horn multiple times. Reason: when the driver blew the horn, it started playing the hit Bollywood number “Main Jat Yamla Pagla Deewana” from a film of the 70s, Pratigya. The song also inspired the title of a 2011 movie.

The clamour for an encore grew louder and people refused to move until their requests were fulfilled.

In the 30-second clip, people can be seen stopping the truck and asking the driver to honk, saying, "Ek baar aur, ek baar aur (once more, once more)."

A Twitter user shared the video with the caption, "Crazy people stopped this truck just to listen to the horn."

As the post went viral, Twitterati flooded the social media with their reactions. A user wrote, "Netflix charges us for entertainment... This truck didn't.. Truck - 1, Netflix - 0."

Another wrote, "This can happen only in India."

A post read, "That's the spirit of Bhopalis. Hamein bas maze lene hein chahe woh truck ho." (We should just soak in the fun even if it involves a truck).”

"Indian trucks never fail to amaze us (with their horns)," another user remarked.
