The New Year’s Eve festivities at Al Noor Island will commence at 10pm.

Ring in 2020 with a celebratory night under the stars at Sharjah’s charming Al Noor Island, a scenic emerald gem nestled in the tranquil waters of the shimmering Khalid lagoon.

The welcoming hospitality of this unique eco-leisure destination will include a sumptuous array of fine dining choices at a waterfront table, specially laid out at Al Noor Island’s Bay. As the waters of the lagoon gently lap against the shore, and the clocks strike midnight to usher in the New Year, stunning fireworks will light up the sky with a colourful show, allowing guests to enjoy a truly magical sight with friends and family.

With its lush landscape and winding pathways, Al Noor Island, a 45,470 sqm development by the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), is a place where nature, art and entertainment coexist in perfect harmony, making it a great destination to welcome the New Year.

“Al Noor Island’s Bay will set the stage for a magical countdown to midnight as we prepare to greet 2020 in true festive spirit at this beautiful locale, right in the heart of Sharjah, yet cut off from the bustle of the city,” said Mahmoud Rashid Al Suwaidi, Director of Operation for Central and Eastern Region. “New Year’s Eve celebrations don’t get any better than being surrounded by lush surroundings, enjoying a dining experience with loved ones at a leisurely pace, and having the perfectly positioned seats to marvel at the stunning fireworks show, which will commence at the stroke of midnight at the nearby Al Majaz Waterfront.”

“The New Year’s Eve festivities at Al Noor Island will commence at 10:00 pm and continue until after midnight,” he added.

At Dhs290 for adults and Dhs150 for children from 3-12 years of age, tickets to the New Year Eve gathering can be booked in advance with the Al Noor Island management, via email, info@alnoorisland.ae, or by calling the following numbers: 056 992 9983; 06 506 7000.

With its unique architectural designs that reflect the Zeitgeist, and its art sculptures that tell the stories of human creativity, Al Noor Island was opened to public in December 2015. It is one of the most impressive destinations from the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) and has been developed for all ages.

Al Noor Island has an area of 45,470 sqmt and includes a wooden walk way that stretches to 3.5 km which takes visitors around the island with a background of soothing music. Other major attractions include the OVO, the literature pavilion, various art sculptures, gardens, children’s play area, a trampoline and artistic lighting features. Al Noor Island is a natural haven for a hassle-free experience.
