As large portions of the UAE community get ready for the widely-celebrated Festival of Lights, Diwali, malls in the country have lined up the week-long celebrations to enthrall the residence.

In this regard, City Centre Sharjah is joining in the excitement by hosting traditional Indian dance performances across the mall. From 25 – 29 October, mall visitors can marvel at the vibrant outfits, infectious rhythms, and high-energy dance routines of a professional Bollywood dance troupe as they embrace the joyous spirit of the season.

Over the five days, the mall will host four 25-minute performances daily, at 5pm, 6pm, 7:30pm and 8:30pm.

As customers move through City Centre Sharjah to shop for gifts, groceries, and decorations necessary to host a memorable celebration of their own, they’ll observe a lively, roaming troupe of professional Bhangra dancers, Dhol drummers, Gidha dancers, and freestyle Bollywood performers.

As Dubai’s Indian community prepares for the arrival of the festival of lights on Sunday 27 October, City Centre Al Shindagha is joining the city-wide celebrations with a specially curated Diwali Market, joyful makeover, and a variety of generous promotions between October 18 and November 2 to welcome the Diwali spirit.

Customers will be greeted by ornate on-ground décor and ceilings that glisten with hanging lights when they step inside City Centre Al Shindagha to shop for gifts, groceries, or decorations necessary to host a memorable Diwali celebration of their own.

The impressive Diwali Market situated in the mall’s food court will be a definite highlight, giving visitors the chance to be fully immersed in the community spirit of the occasion. The ‘bazaar’ style marketplace will be offering men and women’s ethnic Indian wear and a variety of festive décor.

In collaboration with the Consulate General of India to the UAE and the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing Dubai (DTCM), Dubai Festival City Mall will be home to the biggest Diwali celebrations in Dubai this year to bring the 3.3 million Indians residing in the city an unrivalled experience at its world-class destination to celebrate Diwali in style.

The occasion will be marked tomorrow night when the mall launches its fourth magnificent IMAGINE show,‘Hathi’s Garden’ that brings visitors a unique experience with a hint of Bollywood, splash of colour and specially curated musical score, accompanied by a specially choreographed fireworks display.
