Children share Eid shopping experience

A group of twenty needy children had a unique experience of shopping with government officials as part of its ‘Societal Initiative’ to reflect children’s financial, psychological and moral needs in ‘Year of Tolerance’.

Hessa Bint Essa Buhumaid, Minister of Community Development accompanied (20) children registered with Emirates Red Crescent in an exceptional  unique shopping experience in Arabian Centre in Dubai to buy their Eid clothing as part of an event titled “Your Eid Clothing is our Joy” in preparation of Eid Al Fitr.

The activity was organised by the Ministry of Community Development, in cooperation with Rawafed Development and Learning Centre and Dubai Branch of Emirates Red Crescent. Staff also took part, they accompanied the children to buy their clothing in preparation of Eid.

The Minister of Community Development began the event by participating with the children in drawing and exchanging Eid greeting cards, distributing gifts and balloons and taking a group photo with children aged between (6) to (10) years old.

On this occasion, Hessa Bint Essa Buhumaid, emphasised that the event “Your Eid Clothing is our Joy” comes as part of a humanitarian and social initiative in line with the human values of the Year of Tolerance 2019 especially during the holy month of Ramadan.

 She noted the importance of this initiative and said it consolidates good deeds and noble giving instilled by the UAE wise leadership and interaction of Emirati society to positive and purposeful ideas.

Hessa Bint Essa also stated that the event touches the financial and moral needs of children, highlights joy and happiness in the hearts of children and strengthens the bonds of cohesion and social solidarity according to the foundations and rituals of our religion.

She explained that the initiative achieved double results by providing Eid clothing for children to ensure and share with them the atmosphere and joy of Eid Al Fitr, and at the same time enhance collaboration and partnership among social entities to stimulate community based philanthropy and sustainable development initiatives.
