Gigi Hadid reveals her family’s beauty secret that she wants to pass on to her daughter Khai

Ever since she started modelling at the age of 2, cracker of a supermodel and curvaceous hottie Gigi Hadid sure knows how to steal the limelight. She has appeared on the cover of virtually every fashion glossy one can think of, and with a physique that many dream of, has drawn many eyeballs.
That’s because she occupies a unique status. Her mother, Yolanda, of Dutch origin, was also a model. Her sister, Bella, is a successful model, and is setting catwalks on fire with her sizzling appeal. Truly, the apple never falls far from the tree.
She said that she would teach Khai to keep it simple when it comes to make up. The way her mother, Yolanda Hadid taught her.
Gigi further said that her mother never really gave her advice on what to do with skincare or makeup. But, Gigi watched her enough to learn.
"My Mother has a very simple, natural take on skincare," Gigi said.
"My mother didn't overdo it with product, and I feel I've taken that on, where I think less is more.
"Doing too much for my skin or beauty routine can make it more complicated, and sometimes my skin can't handle it," she added.
Gigi, who has a daughter, Khai, with former One Direction band member Zayn Malik, has been redefining womanhood, trying to meld pointers from the worlds of both modelling and motherhood for the sake of her child.
For instance, where makeup is concerned, simplicity is key, she tells her little one. Her mother taught her the same principle.
Though she did not get any formal advice or training in makeup or modelling, constantly watching her mother’s mannerisms paid off.
Motherhood has put a whole new spin on Gigi’s mullebrity. She finds it very challenging, but the apple of her eye, her daughter, is her model now, who makes her savour the joys of being a parent. Her daughter makes her very proud now. Truly, small is beautiful, and Khai has proved that.
