Envoy urges community members to promote Pakistani literature at Abu Dhabi Book Fair

Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, Pakistan’s Ambassador to the UAE, visited the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, which was opened to visitors on Monday.

Pakistan is being represented after years at the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair. It is being held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre on April 29 till May 5.

Apart from several Pakistani publishers, two panels on Pakistani literature and drama are also participating at the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair.

The ambassador urged Pakistani community members in the UAE to visit the exhibition and promote their country’s literature.

During his visit to the exhibition, Faisal Tirmizi said that he was delighted to see Pakistani books and writers at the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair.

The Abu Dhabi International Book Fair is one of the world's most important cultural platforms, held annually in the UAE capital.

The exhibition this year hosts the Arab Republic of Egypt as Guest of Honour to engage the audience with a rich and diverse cultural programme reflecting its intellectual, knowledge, and civilisational history.
