Heart of Sharjah launches edutainment kit Gayeth to entertain the whole family during summer

Heart of Sharjah, the historical project led by Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), launches an edutainment kit “Gayeth” that caters for the whole family during the summer season.

The authentic activities come in collaboration with ‘Sajaya Young Ladies of Sharjah’ and ‘Designer Budoor Al Khoori’. The kit contains 11 tailor-made traditional activities in fabric envelopes that include amusing activities for the whole family that covers three themes; Traditional medicine, Culinary and Innovation, to build a bridge between the indigenous people of Heart of Sharjah of the past and the present generation.

The kit will be officially launched on 20 August 2020 and will include traditional activities like Al Attar, the Henna kit, Al Mashrabiyah, Barjeel and coffee painting, Printing Styrofoam and many more.

 A recent report said Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) has readied all of its hospitality, ecotourism and leisure destinations to receive visitors and tourists from around the world, while strictly adhering to the UAE government’s health and safety protocols to ensure the highest levels of protection of all their visitors, residents and staff.

In an exclusive interview, Ahmed Obaid Al Qaseer, Chief Operating Officer of Shurooq, said that the authority had strictly adhered to the recommended precautionary measures at its hospitality, ecotourism and leisure destinations.

He said that all restaurants and cafes in Al Qasba, Al Majaz Waterfront, Al Noor Island, The Flag Island, Heart of Sharjah, Mleiha Archaeological and Ecotourism Project, Al Montazah Parks and other luxury hospitality destinations, followed a physical distancing policy that limited the number of guests at a table to four.
