Mohammed Musabbeh Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RAKCCI), received Zaake Wanume Kibedi, Ambassador of Uganda to the UAE.
Discussions focused on strengthening economic relations between the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce and the Uganda National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, with emphasis on promoting trade exchange and enhancing investment cooperation.
Both parties reviewed the investment advantages offered in Ras Al Khaimah and the Republic of Uganda, highlighting the importance of unlocking new opportunities across key sectors in both countries.
Al Nuaimi stated that the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce always welcomes initiatives that support the private sector in exploring useful and profitable investment opportunities in many friendly countries around the world, bringing mutual benefits and shared interests.
He pointed out that Uganda is one of the African countries connected to the business environment of the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah through several business partnerships and agreements.
He also noted the importance of increasing partnerships in the small and medium enterprises sector, which will enhance investment opportunities for the private sector and the overall business environment.
Ambassador Kibedi expressed his pleasure at meeting with the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce, particularly as it is the official body responsible for organizing private sector affairs in the Emirate. He affirmed his country’s interest in boosting and expanding trade exchange in a manner that serves the mutual interests of both sides.
He also extended an invitation to the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce and its members to attend the UAE-Uganda Business Forum, scheduled to take place from October 27th to 29th in Kampala, Uganda.
The meeting, held at the Chamber’s headquarters, was attended by Youssef Mohamed Ismail, First Vice Chairman of the Chamber and Head of the Supreme Committee of the Saud Bin Saqr Establishment for Youth Project Development, and Dr. Ahmed Al Shemeili, Director-General of the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce.
Earlier in May the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce and Industry discussed with the Consulate of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh in the UAE areas of economic and commercial cooperation between the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah and the Republic of Bangladesh, and ways to establish distinguished bilateral partnerships that serve the growing relations and contribute to creating new investment opportunities and fields.
This came during a meeting between Mohamed Ali Musabbeh Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Md. Rashedujjaman, Consul-General of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, held at the Chamber’s headquarters.
Al Nuaimi affirmed the Chamber’s commitment to providing a modern support system for companies and investors coming from Bangladesh, aiming to empower them to grow their businesses and achieve sustainable success.
He pointed out that the Chamber recognises the potential of the economic relations between the two sides and seeks to capitalise on it, relying on the remarkable development in economic ties between Ras Al Khaimah and Bangladesh, as clearly reflected in recent figures and statistics.
He confirmed the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber’s readiness to advance areas of mutual cooperation to develop bilateral relations, address existing challenges, promote trade and investment, and explore joint development areas, particularly in renewable energy, the industrial sector, and others.
The meeting also reviewed the prospects for cooperation and the need to develop it in ways that serve both parties’ interests, strengthen relationships between businesspeople, and increase joint meetings and visits.
The Consul-General of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh also raised the idea of establishing a Bangladesh Business Council in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, similar to the business councils in other Emirates.
Both parties agreed on the importance of organising workshops for the Bangladeshi community in the Emirate and setting a general framework for mechanisms to attract Bangladeshi businesspeople and investments to Ras Al Khaimah. In May 2025, Mohamed Ali Musabbeh Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, praised the strong and enduring ties between the UAE and the State of Kuwait, highlighting the fruitful cooperation between both countries, especially in the trade sector.
This came during his meeting with Khalid Abdulrahim Al Zaabi, Consul-General of the State of Kuwait in Dubai and the Northern Emirates.
