A delegation of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), led by Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of the Chamber, visited Khorfakkan as part of a tour of all SCCI branches in Sharjah.

The visit aimed to review the progress of work and assess the success of SCCI’s branches in implementing plans serving the interests of the business community in the eastern and central regions of the emirate.

The Chamber’s delegation included several members of the Board of Directors, including Mohammad Ahmed Amin Al Awadi, Director-General of SCCI, and Khalil Al Mansouri, Director of Government Relations in the Chamber.

During the visit, the delegation identified the economic sectors that entrepreneurs in Khorfakkan aspire to engage in.

They also held a meeting with young citizens to inform them of the services and facilities provided by the Small and Medium Enterprises Center (Tijara 101) of the Chamber, which supports business owners, projects, and emerging companies from young people and stimulates them to engage in business and economic activities. Al Owais emphasised the SCCI’s unwavering commitment to upholding the interests of the business community across all regions of the emirate, leaving no stone unturned in developing the private sector’s economic activities and elevating its competitiveness, especially in the central and eastern regions.

This aligns with the directives and astute vision of His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, whose primary objective is to foster the two regions’ growth.” “The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry is inspired by Dr. Sheikh Sultan’s vision and will work tirelessly to upgrade the infrastructure and facilities available to investors, providing them with numerous investment opportunities, encouraging benefits and incentives, and supporting entrepreneurs with all the programs and initiatives adopted by the Chamber. Our ultimate goal is to bolster Sharjah’s position in the global economic landscape,” Al Owais said.

For his part, Al Awadi underscored the significance of SCCI’s outreach to its members across all corners of the emirate, which prompted the Chamber’s visit to Khorfakkan.

“As a key supporter of the private sector, SCCI recognises its pivotal role in boosting the local economy by nurturing a conducive business environment. The visit involved shedding light on the key factors and investment prospects available in Sharjah, evaluating the current state of investment in Khorfakkan, and identifying the challenges facing investors. Additionally, the delegation exchanged valuable insights and discussed innovative ideas that can foster the advancement of investors’ businesses and push them to new heights,” Al Awadi added.
