Abdullah Al Muwaiji, Chairman of the Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), has discussed with Jaan Reinhold, Ambassador of Estonia to the UAE, prospects of economic collaboration and ways to boost bilateral trade between the two countries.

This came as part of the ambassador’s visit to the chamber to explore ways to benefit from the investment opportunities the two countries have to offer in different sectors, as well as facilities that need to be provided to investors and the business community in both Ajman and Estonia.

The meeting was attended by Salem Al Suwaidi, Chamber’s Director-General; Marwan Hareb Al Ariani, Director of International Business and Promoting at the chamber; and Ege Devon, Chief Representative Officer of Enterprise Estonia in the GCC.

“Today’s visit lays the groundwork for further collaboration and strengthens our partnerships in promising sectors, especially trade and tourism,” Al Muwaiji said. “These meetings offer an important platform where we can exchange expertise and flag opportunities – specifically, the prospects of embedding technology into the industrial sector, which is an area where the Republic of Estonia excels.”

He added, “Estonia and the UAE enjoy close and continuously growing relations. This creates ample opportunities for growing trade relations, which we can benefit from to develop the business community in the emirate, attract foreign direct investment, support investors, and establish a stimulating environment for them.”

The meeting also highlighted key areas where Ajman and Estonia can cooperate, most notable among them being general education and higher education. Attendees also discussed the possibility of opening channels between universities and health sector institutions.

Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) is committed to establishing a stimulating business environment for its members and customers to ensure their growth and attract new investments, asserted Abdullah Al Muwaiji, Chairman of the Chamber’s Board of Directors.

The Chamber seeks to diversify its services and introduce new facilities to allow the business community to develop and sustain their activities, He added, speaking at the joint meeting with Orient Insurance Group held at the Chamber’s headquarters, with Omer Al-Amin, Group Chairman at Orient Insurance, present, along with Khawla Khalfan, Ajman Chamber’s Executive Director of Support Services.

Al Muwaiji kicked off the meeting by welcoming attendees and reaffirming Ajman Chamber’s efforts to diversify its network of partners across government and private entities in an effort to create value-added services that boost the emirate’s competitiveness as a top investment destination.

The meeting highlighted the joint efforts of Ajman Chamber and Orient Insurance Group to provide a wide range of insurance bundles for members and customers of the Ajman Chamber, including health, car, and general insurance, as well as travel and property insurance, and occupational injury insurance, among others.

Participants called for holding workshops to educate owners and representatives of companies and factories who are members of the Ajman Chamber on the insurance bundles available and how to avail them.

For his part, Omer Al-Amin thanked the Ajman Chamber for its cooperation, stressing that Orient Insurance Group is keen to develop the existing partnership with Ajman Chamber, provide integrated insurance services, and continuously develop them to meet the aspirations of Ajman Chamber members.

Members can access the insurance bundles on the Chamber’s website, where they can speak directly with a team of specialists.

Abdullah Al Muwaiji concluded the meeting by presenting Omer Al-Amin with the Chamber’s commemorative shield.

Meanwhile the Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry held a virtual meeting with the emirate’s Transportation Working Group, where the Chamber reiterated its commitment to tackling challenges facing the emirate’s transportation sector and reinforcing constructive communication with relevant government and private entities.
