Sharjah Sustainable City is a forerunner in sustainable developments implementation.

Sharjah Sustainable City, an eco-friendly community by Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), has set its sights on homebuyers for the Holy Month of Ramadan with a limited-time payment plan on its range of modern and sustainable villas.

Under the terms of the payment plan, homebuyers can make payments as low as Dhs4,236 per month, with 20 per cent of the plan covered during construction, and 80 per cent to be paid upon completion. In addition, the development is offering waivers on service charges for first five years, as well as complimentary eco-friendly and energy-efficient kitchen appliances and a fully integrated smart home setup.

Commenting on the announcement, Yousif Ahmed Al-Mutawa, Chief Executive Officer of Sharjah Sustainable City, said: “Sharjah is fast-becoming an attractive destination for both homebuyers and investors, and a regional hub for environmental sustainability. There is a necessary global shift towards green energy, eco-friendly practices and sustainable living being realised across the globe, and Sharjah Sustainable City is both a testament to that thinking and a forerunner in sustainable developments implementation.”

“As a way of encouraging prospective homeowners to adopt this mentality and make their dream come true during the Holy Month, we are introducing these incredible offers as a one-time promotion. Powered 100 per cent by clean energy, our homes are ideal for those looking to invest in properties that provide sustainable solutions to real-estate development, and an abundance of green space and social amenities for a unique community lifestyle,” he added.

Developed by Sharjah Investment and Development Authority in partnership with Diamond Developers, Sharjah Sustainable City is a world-class mixed-use development that meets the highest standards of social, environmental and economic sustainability.

Extending over an area of 7.2 million square feet in the Al Rahmaniyah area in the Emirate of Sharjah, the project comprises stylish and modern 3, 4 and 5-bedroom townhouses and corner units with a contemporary design distinguished by innovative architecture that maximises living space.

Sharjah Sustainable City is designed with a net-zero approach to community planning. The city is 100% solar powered, recycles 100 per cent of water and waste, cultivates vegetables and leafy greens on site, and is designed to encourage walkability and the use of clean mobility.

With social amenities such as parks, gyms, swimming pool, school, and walking/cycling paths spanning the community, Sharjah Sustainable City aims to improve the quality of life for residents without compromising the needs of future generations, as well as presenting opportunities for research and inspiration on how residential communities can minimize their carbon footprint.

Using thermal insulating construction materials and windows, smart home automation, water-saving appliances, energy-saving electrical fittings and rooftop solar PVC installations, the residential properties of Sharjah Sustainable City are projected to deliver savings of up to 50% on electricity and water bills for residents.
