 Walt Disney Co announced its plan to dismiss 32,000 staff, mostly from its theme parks. The move is part of the compay's plan to maintain market stability due to the effect of the pandemic. 

This is an increase from the 28,000 it announced in September.

In a filing the company made with the Securities and Exchange Commission, the dismissal will happen in the first half of 2021.

Across the world, some Disney theme parks have reopened with strict social distancing measures implemented, while others remain close with no certain dates of opening.
